RAdm Ferdinando Giuffrida is a graduate of the Naval Academy. In addition to the degree taken in Maritime and Naval Science, throughout his career, he has completed several in-service formal courses of instruction including the Junior Weapons Course, the Average Weapons Specialization Course and in 1988, he completed the Weapons Engineering Curriculum and received a masters of Weapons. He also attended the 26th class of the U.S. Navy Staff College in Newport, Rhode Island and in 2000/2001 the 52nd Session of High Defense Studies Institute. RAdm Giuffrida is fluent in spoken and written English. He was promoted on the 1st of January of 2001. His most recent assignment since September 2001 was as Commander Naval Patrol Forces IT Navy, in Sicily.
